Tao Ma, PhD is VP of Language Technology group at ASAPP where he's leading Speech, NLP, Machine Learning, and Data Curation efforts. Previously, Tao worked at JD.com as Director of Speech supporting its call center with 30,000 agents. Prior to that, Tao was a Senior Speech Scientist of Siri at Apple. As a founding member of the Siri speech team between 2012 to 2017, Tao's work focused on core speech recognition technologies that power Siri. He received his PhD in Computer Engineering from Mississippi State University.
